Research methods used
Quick singular interview
Quick 5 question interview asking about experiences with restaurant sites/apps.
Card Sorting
Headings and categories written on post it cards; then organized by a participant accordingly.
Jotform Survey
Formed a survey to get participants to tell us what they'd like on a food website.
Empathy Map
A map with 4 questions asking about personal experience and thoughts on food websites.
Competitive analysis
In Conclusion
Use of white space - helps to balance
design elements and improves visual
communication – is aesthetically pleasing

Enticing photos - include high quality
images of the food and interior. Be true to the images and portion sizes you post
Easy access - place menus, order/ delivery options, and online reservation options on the homepage itself – that’s what the customer is there for
creating personas / Final Design
Using survey data from research, we created personas accordingly to ages and personality characteristics that were entered in the jotform survey.
